Benefits

• Helps protect against the deterioration of the cartilage.

• Helps relieve joint pain associated with osteoarthritis.

• Contributes to the maintenance of healthy cartilage and joint health.

• Helps to relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee.

What it does?

Glucosamine is a natural component of cartilage, ligaments, and tendons whose synthesis decreases with age.  When the production of glucosamine is disturbed, cartilage begins to degenerate and osteoarthritis gradually sets in. The mechanism of action of glucosamine is still unknown. Nevertheless, numerous clinical and scientific studies on glucosamine sulfate supplements indicate a beneficial action on:

1) maintaining joint health,

2) slowing down the degradation of cartilage,

3) reducing joint pain associated to osteoarthritis.

In general, the beneficial effects of glucosamine are observed from a few weeks to 2 months after the beginning of the treatment. Chondroitin is very often combined with it for better results.

Key Ingredient

Glucosamin

In our body, glucosamine is made from glucose and glutamine, an amino acid. As we age, glucosamine production becomes less efficient, resulting in cartilage degeneration and even osteoarthritis. As a supplement, glucosamine can be found in the form of sulfate or hydrochloride, synthesized in the laboratory from the chitin of crustacean shells.  Several studies suggest that the sulfate form of glucosamine is more effective than the hydrochloride. Our supplements are based on glucosamine sulfate and should not be used by people with seafood allergies.
