6 TIPS TO LOOK BEAUTIFUL NATURALLY

SLEEP WELL

Easy for some, harder for others. Catching enough ZZZs regularly is essential to maintaining healthy-looking skin. Before going to bed, take the time to remove your makeup so that your skin can regenerate itself while you’re resting. You’ll see that after a good night’s sleep, your skin will appear softer and fresher and that a night of tossing and turning can leave your skin feeling stiff and dull. Getting the proper amount of sleep is great for your skin, and also for your mood: you’ll feel much more energized to power through the day! 

EAT WELL

Your skin is highly impacted by your diet. Naturally, it will benefit from foods rich in omega-3s and antioxidants, such as leeks, onions, garlic, grapes, and carrots, just to name a few. Also, avoid alcohol, sweets and fatty foods. I know it isn’t easy! But you don’t have to drastically change your habits from day one. The idea is to do your best to choose the right foods, but still treat yourself from time to time. 

STAY HYDRATED

Drinking lots of water throughout the day is vital. I won’t list all the reasons why it’s important, but keep in mind that it detoxifies, regulates, and relieves constipation… a powerful ally. Did you know that 70% of our bodies are made up of water? Remember that hydration is indispensable to our organisms. Here’s a tip! Buy a refillable water bottle and keep it with you everywhere you go. I have one at work and at home, and I’ve quickly made a habit of filling them up often so that they’re always full. This way, I always have water sitting right in front of me, and I’m reminded to drink often. And it works! 

CLEANSE YOUR SKIN

Your skin faces air pollution and toxic elements every day. So it’s crucial to cleanse your skin either in the morning or evening (especially at night, to help with the skin regeneration process). There’s a reason why we see so many face cream ads… Because keeping your skin moisturized is a must! Follow this skincare routine daily: remove your makeup, then cleanse, and moisturize. Weekly exfoliating treatments can also be beneficial to rid your skin of impurities. 

APPLY MAKEUP CONSCIOUSLY

Light makeup isn’t necessarily trendy… Tell me about it. We see so many models and influencers applying layer upon layer of makeup on their face. Still, you don’t need to treat your face like it’s a Picasso painting. Light makeup is so much more interesting than a heavy evening look that will completely block your pores. It’s easy when you think about it.
